kids' chance of america announces appointment of CEO

june 16, 2025

Kids' Chance of Montana is proud to announce in conjunction with Kids' Chance of America:

We’re excited to announce that Chris Letsos has been selected to serve as Kids’ Chance of America’s first full-time chief executive officer. This marks a significant milestone in our national journey—and an exciting new chapter for the entire Kids’ Chance community.

Chris joins us from his current role as CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay, one of the largest affiliates in that national network. His career also includes leadership positions with the Knox Education Foundation, Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay and the Florida Department of Children and Families, where he oversaw child welfare programs across 11 counties in Southwest Florida.

“Chris brings a wealth of experience in leading organizations that operate under a federated model similar to Kids’ Chance of America,” says KCOA President Jennifer Wolf. “With Kids’ Chance now active in all 50 states, the time is right to strengthen our network and expand our reach. We believe Chris is the right leader to build on this strong momentum and guide our growth.”

Chris also has a deep personal connection to the Kids’ Chance mission. “His father experienced a traumatic workplace injury that left him permanently disabled, prompting the family to relocate from New York to Florida,” Jennifer shares. “Chris became the first in his family to graduate from high school and pursue higher education. That experience fuels his passion for making sure no young person has to face uncertainty about their future because of a parent’s workplace injury.”

Chris will be based in Tampa, where he lives with his wife and two children. He will begin serving in his new role part-time in July and transition to full-time duties in August.

“I am incredibly honored and thankful for the opportunity to join Kids' Chance of America,” Chris says. “ It is a deeply personal calling to serve children of seriously or fatally injured workers, as I know first-hand what it means to deal with the uncertainty and adversity facing families after these life changing moments. It is my duty and privilege to support the Kids' Chance network in ensuring that every student whose family has been affected by workplace injury can thrive through a college education or trade school training.”
