APPLY FOR A SCHOLARSHIP
Kids’ Chance of Montana scholarships are open to children who have had a parent or guardian killed or severely injured in a work accident. New applicants use the Kids’ Chance of Montana 2026 Scholarship Application link; Existing/Returning Kids’ Chance students link. New sCHOLARSHIPS
Eligibility
- Dependent of a parent or guardian who sustained a serious work-related injury or fatality.
- Between 16-26 years of age.
- Must have a high school diploma, GED, HiSet, or be a high school student in good standing (who will graduate in the current academic year).
- Proceeds must be used for tuition, fees, room and board, books, and required supplies and will be paid directly to the educational institution.
- Scholarship awards are contingent on the availability of funds and may be renewed
- FAFSA Not Required
Submission Requirements
- Submission of complete application and responses to essay questions
- A transcript of the most recent grades (Unofficial transcript is okay)

RENEWAL Scholarship
Eligibility
- Current or past recipient of a Kids’ Chance of Montana Scholarship
- Dependent of a parent or guardian who sustained a serious work-related injury or fatality.
- Between 16-26 years of age.
- Proceeds must be used for tuition, fees, room and board, books, and required supplies and will be paid directly to the educational institution.
- Scholarship awards are contingent on the availability of funds
- Scholarship eligibility is limited to 4 years.
